GWS Tool Group Announces North American Quality Engineer Leanne Smith
January 4, 2022 – Leanne Smith has filled a position of North American Quality Engineer at GWS Tool Group.
Leanne will be working out of our Arden, NC facility. In this role, she will be working to support and manage all GWS sites’ ISO Certifications and regulatory requirements. She will be supporting the management of individual site corrective actions, supplier corrective actions, quality assurance training, internal audits, process improvement projects, certification body audits and managing the Sunday Business System quality management system.
After 15 years in the insurance industry, Leanne made the move into manufacturing starting out in Human Resources and later, quality. She has spent the last several years in automotive manufacturing implementing the quality system for a startup greenfield facility. Leanne is a certified lead auditor for IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 including being a certified auditor for ISO 14001 and 45001. Leanne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Leadership from Montreat College. She resides in Hendersonville NC with her husband, Sean and four children.
